The Murder of Mr. Alok Suri.(Part-III)

He was also one of the most expensive lawyers in the city. however, he offered pro bono services to the state involving larger public interest .the murder of Mr. Alok Suri, was indeed a lethal nudge to the large number of shareholders of the company. Mr. Singh had specialized in corporate intelligence and criminal matters. The state criminal investigations department often took the help of Mr. Singh’s specialized services. He was often hailed as the legal eagle across corporate circles.

Mr. Singh was busy with his work, when the SP entered his chamber.

“Welcome Mr., Rathore”. The Lawyer said.

“Good evening sir, how are you? The SP replied.

“Call me by name SP” the lawyer commanded.

“How may I sir, this is your office?”the SP said.

“Well, then have you came for any official work?”the lawyer questioned.

“Yes sir, another mysterious murder case,”the SP replied.

“Are you referring to Mr. Alok death?”

“Yes sir, the notorious but famous businessman,”

“The real estate major,” Mr. Singh replied.

“Yes sir,” the SP shook his head in affirmation.

“So what you want form me?”

“I want your specialized services. “The SP requested.

“Did you have the postmortem report along with you?” Mr. Singh asked.

Yes sir, the SP said and fished out the medical reports of Mr. Suri.

Mr. Singh glanced at the medical reports deeply.

At night he had gone through each intricate details of the report.

3rd, May Friday, 2000
In the morning they again went to second round of investigation at the bungalow. Mr. Rathore had with him the photographs of the murder site.

Ms.Rupali was at home. She opened the door.

“Mr. Rathore, good morning. How are you?” She wished.

“I am well, this is Mr. Ashok Singh. He is a lawyer.” the SP replied.

Rupali guided them to Mr. Suri‘s room. It was as intact as in the photograph. The lawyer glanced across the room and simultaneously looked at the photographs. Walking across the room, the lawyer’s eyes fell on the window aisle. A subtle mud was on the windows. Looking carefully, the lawyer found foot marks on the ledge of the window.

Very articulately the SP took the photo of the foot marks. The lawyer video graphed the entire murder site.
“So you got anything suspicious Mr. Singh?” Ruplai asked as she intervened form behind.

The lawyer cleverly camouflaged the photographs, which he took. Ruplai asked them for tea, The SP followed, while the lawyer closed the windows. Sitting at the dining table, they asked Rupali of her role in the company, her liaison with Mr. Suri, and her whereabouts on the day of murder.

Rupali did not revealed the truth initially, but after being nailed by the S.P; she revealed about her relationship with Mr. Suri, that they were very close to each other. That she was in Delhi, when Suri was murdered.
The SP left after the interrogation. However, Mr. Singh was not satisfied with the statement of Rupali.

He interrogated Rupali in his own way. While revealing several details about her and Mr. Suri relationship, what caught the attention of the lawyer was the mention of waist bracelet, which Mr. Suri gifted Rupali some six months ago and that Vineet took the same two months earlier to make a similar bracelet, for his girl friend. While leaving, he took permission of Rupali and strolled in the garden around their bungalow. He spotted the same shoe mark at the courtyard which he spotted on the ledge of the window.

Meanwhile the SP nailed Vineet and Rohit at their home simultaneously, to state truth, in their statements. He even warned them of the dire consequences of making any false and misleading statements on oath.
In the evening the SP came to the chambers of Mr. Singh. The lawyer revealed about the shoe marks at the courtyard. They matched the pictures of the shoe mark on the windows with that of the backyard. It was exactly the same.
