The Sparkle Ahead

The Sparkle Ahead

Hello, its almost half past Independance Day. Full on patriotism all around, the colour theme of the day being the Tricoloured Saffron-White-Green is seen everywhere. The national parade is over at the capital. And by now you must’ve read lots of facebook updates and twitter feeds, either in a positive tone saying “Mera Desh MAhaan” or a negative tone “Mera Desh MAhaan, 100 mey 99 beimaan”. Well, this post doesn’t fall under any category, for obvious reasons, why? Cause, we all know just going through an article wont awaken your love towards your nation and remind your responsibilities towards the nation lifelong. But I can actually make an effort to trigger some consciousness and a bit of thinking process in your minds.

You know, instead of making big promises for the future and promising the sparkle ahead if we actually began with small efforts on any relevant scale, the results would turn out to be surprising. All of you must’ve already seen picture posts on facebook, where the pic reads “Sleep peacefully, Indian Army is guarding your borders”, now what did do you do next? Clicked the like button? Commented “#Respect”? or if a bit more Clicked “Share”? But did you ever try picturing  yourself shivering on the Dead Cold peaks of Siachen? Even if you imagined, it would not get you any closer! Try a physical example, take a shower with chilly cold water on a Winter Morning, can’t even dare right? This is what they feel while going out of their bunkers to take their shift at the border.

Independant Nation we are but still a dependant nation for development on foreign technics and technology. Not that we don’t have our own technology but the fact is that we are still slaves to the Western saga. I once came across a post on facebook saying that if we actually started using products manufactured in India, simple commodities like, Babool toothpaste, Medimix Soap etc, instead of Closeup, Lux etc it would really bring down the foreign trade in our Country and nourish Indian Economy with our home companies
building up. This would make the Indian Rupee stronger as well. But, i guess it is too much to ask for, for we are’nt no Gandhi to banish all foreign products and take up Khaadi, so I inferred that reading this post awakened me, but then I realised I couldn’t really help it so I just got over it, just like any other post.

Although our ancestors have been through a lot to get us this freedom, and we’d never know the exact gauge of the pain, and we couldn’t do anything that big ever in exchange, and they never asked for it as well. But as a genuine citizen, as a thanksgiving for everything this country has done for you, we could start with simple steps to make it here a better place to live. No offence, but you
know India is mocked as place “Where you got freedom to pee, dump garbage, create a mess, show Bossy wherever you like”, why not we just start from here. If there is no Sanitary stations near your place, get in touch with the municipality or contact your nearest NGO, it’ll be done, rather than just dumping it anywhere. We’re free, but lets not show up a scene which would look like we were good only under Dictatorship. Lets just stop misusing Democracy at our smallest level be it school, club, college or any organisation. We turn out to be the way we’ve been brought up. Set an example for others, be different, you may be laughed at in the beginning, but they’re gonna regret as soon as you’re seen as an ideal. Come lets join hands, what has happened yesterday can’t be undone, but we can start from building from this day and tomorrow we’ll rejoice our success.A perfect place, a sparkling country.
