“What benefits us?”
“Democracy or Autocracy?”
Both have their own cost;
Both come at an expense;
The advantages; the disadvantages;
The distinction I attempt to make;
As a thin line segregate;
The wealthy capitalist;
The middle class and the poor;
Autocracy favors the rich;
The royals; the loyalist;
Oppression of the right to express;
Oppression to seek redress;
Autocracy has its advantages;
Animals in the garb of sages;
Change democracy into autocracy;
To rule for decades;
Democracy is the rule of law;
The right of the middle and poor class;
To choose their own representative;
The Freedom to express;
The Right to vote;
Democracy as its own advantages;
Converts animals into sages
As the thin line fades away;
Democracy is repressed;
Unfair judgments; political conspiracies;
The struggle for power continues;
Among the rich and the poor;
Major threat of violence;
Widespread protest;
On the brink of a civil war;
It might rip a nation apart;
But, seldom do the rulers care;
The insatiable greed of wealth;
Make such species quite rare;
Where then the solution lies;
To dispose the impending threat;
Is it a healthy bargain?
Between the wealthy and the mediocre;
Negotiation one might say;
The terms and conditions
Some agreeable; some disagreeable;
But then both have their own cost;
Both have their advantages and disadvantages;
A price we decide to pay;
