Bifurcation- Fashion of INDIA
Bravo for INDIA n’ standing applause for all those “freedom fighters” for that auspicious day when Britishers gone forever from INDIA. That memorable day 26th January, 1950. But are they really gone? This question demands a true answer. Yes, although they are physically but with my heavy heart have to accept the truth that they are still present in the form of their norms, ideologies n’ policies. Clever Britishers must have been thought that before leaving, let’s ruin INDIA. AAh! even succeed in implanting a seed of division separatism among the hearts of people. They followed a divide and rule policy in India. They categorized people according to religion and treated them as separate from each other.
O’ Jesus! What am I seeing, still continuing the same! My mother has been divided into 28 then 31 might be 50 daughters in future, now how many more can we imagine according to present scenario. Beware my mum, virus is spreading all over your body! India may have at least 50 states in future if demands for new states are to be conceded as the home ministry has received representations for creation of more than 20 states. Trifurcation or Bifurcation- Fashion of INDIA as for now! Every creation has its pros n’ cons but here cons dominate over.
Positive impacts:
- This might led to increase in GDP [GDP per capita considered as an indicator of a country’s standard of living] For example– Jharkhand, Uttarakhand and Chattisgarh. They all have grown better as an individual.
- It promises for better respect and a ray of new development due to a fact that small state better governance.
- People belonging to these new states came up with a better and confident persona.
Negative Impacts:
- States may be divided by the politicians for their own benefits of income like Telangana during the rule of Congress may be for seeking their votes gave birth to VOTE BANK POLITICS
- Creating more states may bring loss in the overall financial status of the country because of the increase in Government administrative expenses i.e. requiring new employees to manage the responsibility of new states.
- Dividing one state brings revolution results into never ending demands for divison. For example, a decision passed to divide Andhra Pradesh gave birth to a new state Telangana. This acts as a spark for more such as,Mayawati demanded to divide the UP into four daughter states, GorKhaLand in West Bengal, Vidarvha in Maharastra and yet to come, I suppose.
- Bifurcation or trifurcation give rise to a lack of patriotism within people as now for the people, their state is much prior than their country. They started identifying themselves as a ‘citizen of state’ rather than ‘citizen of the country’.
- Feeling of competition n’ detestation arises. It may help them to grow as an individual but will result in Down Fall of India as a whole.
For instance: A hockey team playing for their country. There are 2 players in a team with a competitive feelings for each other n’ will win the match if did 1 goal. Now, as compelled with their feelings instead of playing for their country, they’ll compete with each other preventing each other’s goal n’ finally counter party got a chance to goal n’ finally win. So, even though a player grow but team as a whole doesn’t.
I wonder how could we forget these golden words – “ united we stand and divided we fall”. In a nutshell, just want to mention that Division of powers doesn’t bring progress but division of work does makes a change. Think upon it..!
