Upbeat with a growing real estate market, the company had lately got a plethora of housing and business projects in as well as the outskirts of the city.
The team consisted of four close persons, Mrs. Lena Malhotra (wife of Mr. Alok Suri, public relation executive,) Mr. Vineet Malhotra (brother in law, marketing executive.)Mr. Rohit Roy (Suri’s business friend, finance executive) and Ms.Rupali Sengupta (younger sister in law, human resource executive)Mr. Suri himself handled the operations part of the business.
The main activities of the business were in the hands of Mr. Suri, while the team executed and maintained the total functions of the group. At the end of the day, each of the executives in the team represented to the director of CDS group. Mr. Suri, with business reports, on developments in their respective fields.
The next two days Mr. Suri had to leave aboard for a two days for business meeting regarding extending his business operations overseas. Mr.Vineet Malhotra, the marketing executive communicated to Mr. Suri over phone and confirmed his ticket (business class) to Dubai, on the evening of Wednesday.
On that night all the executives save Mr. Vineet, of the team presented their reports to Mr.Alok Suri regarding the performance of the CDS group. As Mr. Suri was about to leave in the wee hours of the next morning, he wanted to enjoy partying the night instead of catching on some sleep.
Suri was used to all the rough ways of life, being grown from a mediocre pimp (dalal) in the locals of the city of the real estate market, he knew the nasty ways to get to the top, and at least practiced more than half of them to reach to the position to where he was. Mr. Suri doesn’t kept any secretary due to the fear of losing his business secrets and other classified information, some which only his executives knew, but most of the business information was with Mr. Suri only, and he used to be quite active at the helm of the business affairs.
At around 9.30 after studying all the reports, Mr. Suri signed some documents for business purposes. As he was about to remain absent for the next two days, he wanted to make sure that everything goes well in business and of course among the executives.
Talking about the executives, there was always a clash among them, a kind of cold war regarding the importance of their position and their proximity to Mr. Suri. Each executive constantly endeavored to impress Mr. Suri by planning and plotting. However, this issue never came upon to Mr. Suri for consideration, as the executives operate at secret. After checking the reports, Mr. Suri called it a day off and made his way to the “THE ROCK”.
The rock was one of the most famous bars in the city, where influential people used to come from myriad fields. Be it Politicians, bureaucrats, cooperates, film personalities, everyone had a heaven in the bar.
The bar was also notorious for its share drug dealers and thugs. Some of the most dreadful thugs also used to enjoy in the bar. It was around eleven pm; Mr. Suri along with his executives reached the bar. As usual, music was loud and liquor was flowing up to its highest level. Mr. Suri took the lounge and ordered for a drink. The executives too were enjoying candidly.
After sometime, Mr. Suri took the dance floor, after being approached by some show business personalities. Meanwhile Mr. Vineet and Rohit went to the bar counters and took couple of whisky shots. The night was getting poisonous with the passage of time. Mr. Suri had many influential contacts among politicians and thugs, and this was how he used to execute his operation in business.hiw way of getting business contracts was no different either.
At around midnight, unable to move after being heavily inebriated by alcohol and drugs, he was dropped at his bungalow by his executives, Vineet and Rohit. Mrs. Lena was quite in her senses as she offered a shoulder to take Mr. Suri to his bedroom. Vineet opened the windows to let the fresh air pass in the room .Rohit was waiting for Vineet at the dining room. Mrs. Lena accompanied them up to the door and they left the bungalow at about 1.00pm.
